Striped Arms

· Do my arms look French? ·

I don’t want to admit how many striped shirts I own. They are all different, so I justify the place of each in my wardrobe. Stripes are a classic, right?

My striped arms are courtesy of a cropped shirt that I almost never wear on its own. I’m not a crop top kind of gal. But I am a stripes kind of gal. Because stripes are classy and so am I.

Sweater, Moda International. Dress, Prabal Gurung for Target. Striped top, American Apparel. Shoes, Isaac Mizrahi. Earrings, Jack E Oh’s NYC. Sunglasses, Marc Jacobs.

I’ve layered this crop top in a number of other outfits:

I’ve worn it solo only twice (on the blog) and was intensely uncomfortable with the bare midriff.

I’d much rather wear it under another layer.

Layering a crop top suddenly makes so much sense to me. Same look, yet none of that bulk you have to worry about tucking in!

It really is very comfortable. And I guess it keeps your boobs extra warm. 😉

Thanks! I don’t often straddle both fun and classy! (And I suppose straddling isn’t classy…)

Oooh, I like the idea of wearing a crop top under a dress, especially if it has interesting sleeves!

It is a nice way to add sleeves but no bulk around the waist.

Whaddya think?
