Norfolk Island Pine

· A tropical Christmas tree ·

Most people think of the Norfolk Island Pine as an indoor Christmas tree, but it’s also a great, year-round houseplant.

My mother had a Norfolk Island Pine when I was a kid and I had another in college. I’ve been pining for another for some time. They are easily found during the holidays and I finally brought a wee baby home from the garden center. Isn’t she cute?

Coat, Avanti (thrifted). Sweater, Full Tilt (thrifted). Tunic, Forever 21. Leggings, Champion. Boots, Mix No. 6.

They grow up, quickly, though! The tiny tree I started in college grew to be a monster:

    Happy Holidays K !
Oh wow your college pine did grow a lot ! I saved one from the dumpster last year, my neighbour was throwing it away after the holidays. I found a good home for it with a friend who has a cottage in the mountains.

Awww, nice! I got myself a little potted spruce tree – I’m looking forward to coaxing his growth all throughout the year and maybe by next December he can be my holiday tree~! 🙂
