It turns out that I don’t have many opportunities to wear a silk romper. It’s inappropriate for most situations and too dressy for the rest. In my fantasy life, I’d wear it to drink bottomless mimosas at brunch on an outdoor patio. That’s a fantasy for a number of reasons, including the inevitable and urgent consequence of prolonged drinking.
Last time I wore this thrifted romper, it was layered, over a turtleneck and tights, and paired with boots to a party. This time, I wore it with a light jacket and heels to an audition. (I ended up wearing a lace, high-necked bralette under the romper for more coverage. I’m glad I did, because the snap at the neckline came loose sometime during the audition and I would have been showing much more than just my legs!)
