July means hot weather in California - and everywhere else I went this month: New Mexico, Nevada, and Texas.
I spent most of the month in the Sacramento area and was quite productive.
Posted every day.
Shared my obsession with olive pants.
Began a Slice of Life category with a post on paddleboarding with my dog, Jackson.
Attended my second Sacramento Bloggers meeting.
Showed you 3 ways to wear one dress over 3 days.
Answered reader mail on my laundry habits and my schedule.
Shared how to wear your entire closet.
Photographed my friend Leah in her Obon get-up.
Took Jaz’s senior portraits.
Led one 3-day and six 1-day seminars on subjects including presentation skills, grammar and business writing, supervising, leadership, and strategic communication.
Gave a speech for our televised Toastmasters meeting.
Submitted three video auditions.
Auditioned in person for a short film.
Submitted four quotes but did not book any clients.
August heat is even more brutal than July’s. I’ll find some relief in Washington state, but I’m sure I’ll do some sweating in Arizona! (I’m also headed to Colorado, perhaps the state with the most unpredictable weather. Will it be snowing or blazing hot?)
