· Sunset in Tucson ·
I lived in Phoenix for a brief period in the late 90’s. Although the saguaro cactus was a popular landscaping choice, I never saw it growing wild. Today, as I drove to Tucson, I saw an entire, awe-inspiring “forest” of saguaro cacti. If I’d had more time, I would have stopped to hike among them and climb Picacho Peak. (I also might have been more inclined for this adventure if it hadn’t been one million degrees outside. The desert is beautiful, but brutal).
